Tax Training For CTA

I'm a freelance tax tutor teaching all the CTA papers (mainly for Tolley and Kaplan) and I have for many years now offered private tuition on a one to one basis.

I still do that but in order to try and reach more students and also to reduce the cost to you, I am now offering recorded Zoom sessions together with my own notes on three Advanced Technical papers - Owner Managed Businesses (OMB), Individuals (IND) and Larger Companies and Groups (LCG).

Note that I'm not intending to supplant or replace the courses offered by Tolley, Kaplan, etc. I see what I offer as a ‘top up’ resource to help on difficult areas. I hope what I have to offer will be of interest and be helpful to you .

Most of what I do as a private tutor is in relation to the APS (Application and Professional Skills) paper. The key challenge there is understanding what this paper is all about, the techniques required as well as putting them into practice in an exam. Most students who fail do so because they haven’t got the right technique for the APS paper.

So, for that paper, I’m offering a package of 2 recorded Zoom sessions for each of APS OMB, APS IND and APS LCG. The first session covers what the paper is about and provides practical tips and techniques to help you ‘open up’ the question. In the second session I take you through a past exam question showing you how these tips and techniques can be put into practice. You will receive copies of any notes, etc that I use.

I also have a 2 hour recording plus notes for anyone sitting any Advanced Technical exam on study and exam Tips & Techniques.
